<p>Job Title Outdoor Pursuits: Bike Techician Fall 26 Department Campus Recreation Office Job Description/Duties</p> <p>Job Overview:</p> <p>Bike Techs are responsible for the quality of all bikes being rented to patrons, maintaining records of bike maintenance, and promoting the Cortland Bike Project, as well as other customer service duties and maintaining a welcoming environment in the Outdoor Pursuits Center.</p> <p>Direct Report:</p> <ul> <li>Assistant Director of Recreational Sports for Outdoor Pursuits </li><li>Graduate Assistants of Recreational Sports for Outdoor Pursuits </li></ul> <p>Job Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Repair and perform routine maintenance on bike fleet. </li><li>Keep timely and accurate records of all bike repairs. </li><li>Perform routine inspections on bikes. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and organization of workshop. </li><li>Attend trainings and professional development opportunities as scheduled. </li><li>Assist in annual inventory of the bike fleet. </li><li>Foster a welcoming atmosphere and supportive outdoor and bike culture. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Days/Hours Needed</p> <p>Flexibility in scheduling</p> <p>Campus Location/Bldg.</p> <p>Student Life Center Outdoor Pursuits</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Must have good interpersonal and customer service skills </li><li>Be a current SUNY Cortland student (at least half time) </li><li>Complete staff training </li><li>Be familiar with Outdoor Pursuits' Cortland Bike Program </li><li>Must be willing to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience with bike maintenance & repair </li><li>Awareness of safety concerns and risk management involved with cycling </li><li>Knowledge of campus recreation programs and activities </li><li>Effective written and verbal communication </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands</p> <p>Physical requirements include but are not limited to walking, walking over rough or uneven surfaces, bending, stooping, climbing, lifting, pushing, pulling and carrying loads up to 50 pounds unassisted, and using ladders.
