July 7- August 8, 2025</p> <p>Days and hours will vary, based on final assignment. Up to 12 hours instructional time, up to 3 hours prep time. Multiple positions available.</p> <p>PRIMARY FUNCTION: To help students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development as mature, able, responsible citizens.</p> <p>TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Guide the learning process toward the achievement of curriculum goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Prepare and carry out plans for instruction which meet the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.</p> </li><li> <p>Employ appropriate instructional methods and materials.</p> </li><li> <p>Utilize available computer technology in instructional settings.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate and follow up on student progress on a regular basis.</p> </li><li> <p>Emphasize competency in the basic skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain a classroom environment conductive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.</p> </li><li> <p>Establish a positive climate for learning by encouraging all students to do well and to develop responsibility for learning.</p> </li><li> <p>Consult with colleagues, students, and parents to improve student learning as deemed necessary, seek assistance of school specialists for students with special learning needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist the administration in implementing policies, rules, and regulations covering student life and conduct.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop reasonable rules of classroom behavior and procedures and maintain order in the classroom.</p> </li><li> <p>Seek to maintain and improve professional competence.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs such other related tasks as the principal may assign.</p> </li></ul> <p>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>As set by the State certification requirements (042, 043, 044, 047, 049, 062, 483, 485) </li></ul> <p>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Bilingual (English and Spanish) </li></ul> <p>SALARY: $40/hour for instruction, $35/hour for planning per NLEA contract.</p>
