<p>Department: University Prep Elementary School- Detroit, MI</p> <p>Schedule: Full Time Days, Monday- Friday 8:00am-4:30pm- NO weekends or major holidays.</p> <p>This position follows a calendar year schedule- NOT school year calendar</p> <p>GENERAL SUMMARY:</p> <p>Provides behavioral health counseling services.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals. </li><li>Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations. </li><li>Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions. </li><li>Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community. </li><li>Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED -</p> <ul> <li>Master's Degree with at least 3 years' experience in the field of counseling, social work or psychology </li></ul> <p>CERTIFICATION/LICENCES REQUIRED</p> <ul> <li>One or more of the following required: </li><li>Licensed Master Social Worker credentialed from the Michigan Board of Social Work obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office. </li><li>Licensed Counselor credentialed from the Michigan Board of Counseling obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office. </li><li>Licensed Psychologist credentialed from the Michigan Board of Psychology obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Verified by local Credentialing Office. </li><li>Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Any issuing authority accepted. Verified by local Credentialing Office. </li><li>BLS Provider preferred.
