MercyOne Des Moines Medical Center, founded by the Sisters of Mercy in 1893, is the longest continually operating hospital in Des Moines and Iowa's largest medical center, with 802 beds available. The hospital is one of the Midwest's largest referral centers. Other centers associated with MercyOne Central Iowa include:</p> <p>MercyOne West Des Moines Medical Center</p> <p>MercyOne Centerville Medical Center</p> <p>MercyOne Newton Medical Center</p> <p>MercyOne Children's Hospital</p> <p>MercyOne Clive Rehabilitation Hospital</p> <p>House of Mercy</p> <p>Clive Behavioral Health</p> <p>Relocation assistance available based on your current location</p> <p>We welcome new grads and techs with experience!</p> <p>Shift Hours: Evenings 1130-2200</p> <p>What you will do:</p> <ul> <li>Performs C.T. procedures on scheduled shifts including emergency callback and operates C.T. equipment. </li><li>Provides care to neonate, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. </li><li>Provides patient/family or caregiver education and counseling in recognition and solution of physical, emotional, and environmental health problems. </li><li>Instructs, supervises, and evaluates student technologists. </li><li>Demonstrates proficiency in performing all exams according to protocol. Maintains the physical environment of the department in a clean, well-stocked, orderly manner. </li><li>Operates equipment in a safe and efficient manner, reporting any malfunctions to manager/Bio-med. </li><li>Complies with OSHA/JCAHO and other regulatory agency recommendations and guidelines. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Successful completion of an accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains current Iowa Permit to Practice</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains active registry status in ARRT</p> </li><li> <p>Basic Life Support (BLS) certified or obtained within three (3) months of hire.</p> </li><li> <p>Proof of completion of Mandatory Reporter abuse training specific to population serve within three (3) months of hire.</p> </li></ul> <p>Our Commitment</p> <p>Rooted in our Mission and Core Values, we honor the dignity of every person and recognize the unique perspectives, experiences, and talents each colleague brings.
