As a member of our team you'll enjoy excellent benefits, opportunities for growth, and an encouraging culture that supports work / life balance.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Create detailed construction documents for manufactured homes.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and maintain standardized drawing templates and CAD libraries.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure all drawings comply with HUD, IRC, and other applicable codes and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with engineering, production, and project management teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.</p> </li><li> <p>Review and approve drawings before submission to regulatory agencies or production.</p> </li><li> <p>Train and mentor junior drafters, providing guidance and quality control.</p> </li><li> <p>Manage drawing revisions and document control processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in design reviews and provide technical input to improve product quality and efficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for integration of third-party components into designs.</p> </li></ul> <p>Quali?cations:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Associate's or bachelor's degree in Drafting, Architecture, Engineering, or related field.</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of experience in AutoCAD drafting, with at least 2 years in manufactured or modular housing.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong knowledge of building codes, especially HUD and IRC.</p> </li><li> <p>Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D); Revit or other BIM software is a plus.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with structural, electrical, and plumbing layouts.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent organizational and communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials used in modular construction.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with permitting and regulatory submittals.</p> </li><li> <p>Knowledge of Lean principles or continuous improvement methodologies.</p> </li></ul> <p>Pay Range: $25 to $30 per hour</p> <p>Why Clayton?</p> <p>Full-time team members have the flexibility to create their own health, dental, and vision benefits package.
