This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your clinical skills, learn advanced diagnostic testing, and make a real impact every day.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <p>Patient Care & Clinical Support</p> <ul> <li>Welcome, escort, and prepare patients for their exams </li><li>Gather detailed medical and ocular histories </li><li>Perform essential pre-testing like visual acuities, tonometry, lensometry, and pupil evaluations </li><li>Administer ophthalmic drops and assist with dilation </li><li>Support physicians with minor in-office procedures </li></ul> <p>Documentation & Workflow</p> <ul> <li>Document findings in the EMR promptly and accurately </li><li>Keep exam rooms organized, polished, and fully stocked </li><li>Help maintain smooth and efficient patient flow throughout the day </li></ul> <p>Patient Education</p> <ul> <li>Clearly explain tests and procedures in a friendly, reassuring way </li><li>Provide pre- and post-exam instructions </li><li>Answer patient questions and help create a positive care experience </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>Strong communication skills and a passion for patient care </li><li>Ability to multitask effectively in a busy clinical setting </li><li>Prior medical or eye care experience is a plus-but we're happy to train! </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>COA or COT certification </li><li>Previous ophthalmic technician experience </li><li>Comfort with electronic medical record systems </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to stand for extended periods </li><li>Ability to lift up to 20 lbs </li><li>Good manual dexterity for operating ophthalmic equipment </li></ul> <p>Why You'll Love Working With Us</p> <ul> <li>A supportive, collaborative team environment </li><li>Hands-on training with opportunities to grow your skills </li><li>Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits </li><li>A chance to build a meaningful career in eye care! </li></ul> <p>Job Type & Location</p> <p>This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bloomfield, CT.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $34.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
