<p>Job Details</p> <p>Major Food Group is hiring an Assistant General Manager to join our team at Sadelle's!</p> <p>Sadelle's is a modern ode to New York's classic tradition of all-day dining. Since opening its first location in the heart of SoHo in 2016, the brand has reached iconic status thanks to its urbane, celebratory atmosphere and a menu of hits, including the best bagels in America.</p> <p>The Assistant General Manager is responsible for assisting the General Manager in running an efficient and profitable operation, maintaining high service quality standards and customer service satisfaction levels while fostering a positive work environment.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Works under the direction of the General Manager to manage daily operations of upscale dining restaurant </li><li>Promote the core values and culture of Major Food Group, including but not limited to excellence in food and beverage, service and hospitality </li><li>Actively engage in all steps of service, by implementing, overseeing and maintaining all company policies and procedures </li><li>Support forecasting and budgeting for all controllable costs </li><li>Maintain standards according to DOH, fire safety, and employment regulations </li><li>Train, evaluate and schedule all restaurant staff </li><li>Consistently monitor, coach and encourage management team and hourly service employee to meet the company's service standards </li><li>Assist FOH teams on the floor to ensure a high service level is maintained as needed </li><li>Ensures all team members are educated on the company's products and services </li><li>Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints and reviews </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 3-5 years in a management role in the Restaurant/Hospitality Industry </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or related field preferred </li><li>Culinary certificate or comparable experience working in culinary roles preferred </li><li>Ability to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time </li><li>Lift and carry up to 50 pounds </li><li>Familiarity with restaurant management software such as point of sales, reservations management, inventory management, Microsoft Office and Google Workspace. </li><li>Demonstrates positive leadership characteristics and supervisory skills, which inspire team members to meet and exceed standards </li><li>Previous experience performing new restaurant opening responsibilities such as training and motivating new employees into a high-performing team and implementing new systems, policies, and procedures strongly preferred </li></ul> <p>COMPENSATION: $85,000 - 90,000 annual salary</p> <p>BENEFITS:</p> <ul> <li>Competitive Salary </li><li>Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance with Company subsidy </li><li>Growth Opportunities </li><li>Progressive Paid Time Off </li><li>Parental Leave </li><li>Tuition Reimbursement </li><li>Generous Dining Allowance </li><li>Unlimited Referral Program </li><li>TransitChek Discount </li></ul> <p>Equal Employment Opportunity</p> <p>Major Food Group considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion, creed, gender, national origin, age, disability, marital or veteran status, sexual orientation, or any other legally protected status.
