A movement for better thinking, smarter solutions and lasting impact.</p> <p>Together, we will advance our way of life and protect the integrity of our environment every step of the way.</p> <p>A Day in the Life</p> <p>Our Field Service Technician position is located in our Tampa, FL office.</p> <p>The hourly range for this role is $23/hr. to $30/hr., commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location.</p> <p>To thrive in this role, you'll be comfortable taking ownership of the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Operates field monitoring equipment including but not limited to: PID/FID, pH, EC, DO, GEM, turbidity, water level, LEL meters, trimble (or other geolocating equipment)</p> </li><li> <p>Carefully documents monitoring and testing results on field forms and prepares field daily reports and data sheets</p> </li><li> <p>Collects samples using a variety of sampling methods</p> </li><li> <p>Conducts environmental collection, monitoring, sampling, testing and basic evaluation at various locations</p> </li><li> <p>Performs operations and maintenance (O&M) on environmental treatment equipment</p> </li><li> <p>Completes Chain-of-Custody forms and labels samples, strictly following regulatory handling and preservation protocols for various sample media and delivers samples to an environmental laboratory</p> </li><li> <p>Interacts with clients, presents a professional appearance, and wears appropriate PPE on job sites</p> </li><li> <p>Measures and records treatment operational data</p> </li><li> <p>Enters monitoring data from the field inspection forms into electronic spreadsheets in Word and/or Excel format</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures proper labeling and handling of hazardous material and waste</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates promptly with Project Managers to inform of site conditions and activities</p> </li><li> <p>Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical system issues or failures</p> </li><li> <p>Manages proper disposal for hazardous material and waste.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain confidentiality at all times</p> </li><li> <p>Exercise safe work practices by following all Company safety rules and OSHA regulations,</p> </li><li> <p>including attendance at all required safety training programs</p> </li><li> <p>Participate in the company's continuous improvement programs and provide support to team efforts</p> </li><li> <p>Keep up-to-date and current on industry trends by completing formal training, reviewing</p> </li><li> <p>professional publications, and attending professional workshops</p> </li><li> <p>Perform other duties as assigned</p> </li></ul> <p>Your Expertise and Skills</p> <p>These requirements reflect the knowledge, skills and abilities that help you do your best work here.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>High School Diploma or equivalent</p> </li><li> <p>3+ years of experience performing environmental collection, monitoring, sampling, testing and basic evaluation and/or Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Sciences, and/or Engineering in lieu of experience</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a valid Class C driver's license with a clean driving record.</p> </li><li> <p>Ability/willingness to travel</p> </li><li> <p>Complete and maintain HAZWOPER certification with the 40-hour HAZWOPER environmental health and safety class, and annual 8-hour refresher classes</p> </li><li> <p>Must have the ability to lift 50 pounds such as monitoring equipment and tools, with or without assistance</p> </li><li> <p>Proficient with Microsoft Office software</p> </li><li> <p>Be able to deliver and receive electronic documents</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management</p> </li><li> <p>Strong problem solving and analytical skills</p> </li><li> <p>Solid organization and time/project management skills</p> </li><li> <p>Effective verbal and written communication skills, must have legible handwriting</p> </li><li> <p>Able to work independently</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>5+ years of experience performing environmental collection, monitoring, sampling, testing and basic evaluation</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with Florida Department of Environmental Protection Petroleum Restoration Program Regulations and Standard Operating Procedures</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with the Operation and Maintenance of Remediation systems including but not limited to Advanced Electrical and Mechanical Troubleshooting</p> </li></ul> <p>We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
