You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, testing, installation, and troubleshooting across domestic water, sanitary, process piping, and specialty lab utility systems.</p> <p>This role is part of CBRE's Engineering and Technical Services function, where precision, compliance, and system reliability are essential to maintaining safe, controlled laboratory operations. The ideal candidate understands the importance of working within GMP-influenced, clean, and mission-critical spaces, following strict safety, documentation, and change-control procedures.</p> <p>The position is based at a modern R&D campus offering free parking and is conveniently located within walking distance of an MBTA station, providing an accessible and commuter-friendly work environment.</p> <p>Day Shift M-F 7:00AM -3:00PM</p> <p>What You'll Do:</p> <ul> <li>Repair, install, replace, test, and troubleshoot the water and medical gas supply and distribution system. </li><li>Install new water systems, piping, and fixtures by blueprints, drawings, specifications, and applicable codes. </li><li>Ensure waste and vent lines are in good operating condition using a plumber's snake, vacuum plunger, or jet washer. </li><li>Assist other staff members or contractors on projects or equipment installations. </li><li>Complete plumbing safety inspections on backflow devices. </li><li>Provide training to other staff members so they can perform light plumbing maintenance and repair. </li><li>Perform general maintenance and building systems operational duties as assigned or directed. </li><li>Respond to emergency situations, summoning extra help as needed. </li><li>Follow all activity policies and procedures, always including all HSE-related requirements. </li><li>Complete all HSE programs & activities as required, including incident investigations, interviews, auditing, and assessment, etc. </li><li>Report any conditions that could result in an accident or injury to management. </li></ul> <p>What You'll Need:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Plumbing certification at the Journeyman level required. Medical Gas certification and Backflow certification preferred. Valid Driver's License required. Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred. </li><li>Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs/ladders, and the ability to lift/carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more. </li><li>Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information. </li><li>Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
