We're committed to making a positive impact on the world, providing you with diverse learning and working opportunities, and fostering a culture where everyone's empowered to be their best.</p> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>The planner and inventory specialist must ensure procedures for scheduling and inventory are complied with in order to maximize customer service and efficiency of the Amherst facility.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Schedule production of parts in the Molded facility, which includes using Marmon Utility ERP system (Axiom) to maintain, review and release planned orders. </li><li>Coordinate with supervisors to prioritize important orders </li><li>Manage schedule postings for ease of access and clarity </li><li>Develop forecasting models for production recommendations </li><li>Conduct weekly cycle counts of raw materials and consumables </li><li>Identify, reconcile, and root cause analysis inventory discrepancies </li><li>Lead physical inventory twice a year </li><li>Work with purchasing to ensure supply of raw materials </li><li>Ensure accuracy of part routings for raw material consumption </li><li>Evaluate safety stock levels </li><li>Work with the warehouse for raw material availability </li><li>Coordinate with sales, product management and finance to move E&O inventory </li><li>Schedule openings for Engineering R&D and Automation </li><li>Apply lean methodology to build scheduling strategy. Kanban, Supermarkets, ETC. </li><li>Manage offsite inventory and schedule deliveries </li><li>Plan, order and Communicate material shortages with Production and Sales </li><li>Sustain and maintain plant KPIs including On Time Delivery, cycle count accuracy, Up time and downtime. </li><li>Support routing accuracy for both Axiom and live monitoring systems. </li></ul> <p>EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. </li><li>Must demonstrate a very strong aptitude for learning and working with systems and technology. </li><li>Strong foundational skills in mathematics, reading, writing, and verbal and written communication. </li><li>Proficiency in accurate and efficient data entry. </li><li>Ability to understand, follow, and work effectively within established policies and procedures. </li><li>Must be well organized. </li><li>Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Must be adept at troubleshooting and problem solving.
