<p>Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Ensure the student's IEP is followed, including all accommodations, modifications, and goals. Collaborate with the IEP team to make necessary adjustments based on the IEP. Develop and implement lesson plans that align with the student's IEP goals and the curriculum. Adapt teaching methods and materials to suit the student's individual learning style and needs. Provide direct instruction in various subjects, ensuring content is accessible and engaging. Use specialized strategies and interventions to support the student's learning. Maintain regular communication with the student's family to provide updates on progress and discuss any concerns or adjustments. Offer guidance and support to help the family reinforce learning at home. Adjust instructional strategies based on assessment data and student performance. Maintain detailed records of the student's progress, attendance, and any interventions used. Prepare progress reports and share them with the IEP team and family. Provide emotional and social support to the student, helping them stay motivated and engaged. Ensure the student has access to necessary resources, including technology and specialized equipment. Stay informed about best practices in special education and homebound instruction. Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Ensure all educational activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding special education and homebound services. Uphold ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of student information. Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university required. Massachusetts Educator Licensure in Special Education (Intensive Special Needs) required. General knowledge of special education curriculum and instruction required. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Previous experience providing homebound or hospital-bound instruction is preferred.</p> <p>a letter of application, a resume, proof of certification, transcripts, and three letters of reference.</p>
