In this role, you will create and maintain work instructions in support of manufacturing, assembly, installation for the Structural Discipline.</p> <p>This position will involve developing and maintaining work instructions in the Teamcenter IPDE toolset through collaboration with peers in Design, Engineering, and Operations. Additionally, you will be involved in the development of new processes, procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives. You will interface frequently with many different organizations across the company while professionally representing Planning. The ideal candidate will possess strong computer skills, as well as strong communication and collaboration skills</p> <p>Responsibilities Include:</p> <ul> <li>Development of work instructions for COLUMBIA Class </li><li>Adherence to processes, procedures, and standards </li><li>Collaboration with peers and supervisors for the development of new processes and procedures </li><li>Completion of work in support of department goals related to quality and attainment </li><li>Interfacing with organizations across Electric Boat in a professional manner </li></ul> <p>This is an on-siteposition located in New London, CT.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <p>Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Computer skills </li><li>Organization skills </li><li>Verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Interpersonal skills </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Required:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent </li><li>3+ years of Planning, Design/Engineering or Operations Experience in a manufacturing environment </li><li>Past work experience as a Shipfitter or Welder and/or in Structural Design </li><li>Proficiency with computers including Microsoft Office Suite </li></ul> <p>Preferred:</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency with Teamcenter or experience using COLUMBIA planning work paper </li><li>Experience with PCM/EWP </li><li>Experience with the IPDE toolset </li><li>Past experience in warehousing, transportation, planning, or equivalent </li><li>Experience with product structuring </li><li>Experience with ERS </li></ul>
