From part-time roles to executive leadership positions, Teachers offers a wide range of meaningful career opportunities.</p> <p>Summary:</p> <p>Performs a variety of advanced accounting duties according to established credit union policies and procedures.</p> <p>Education and/or Experience:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or similar required</p> </li><li> <p>Three plus years of advanced accounting experience required</p> </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Ability to multi-task</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent attention to detail</p> </li><li> <p>Strong organizational ability</p> </li><li> <p>Effective corporate communications skills</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to consistently meet deadlines</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates a high-level understanding of GAAP especially in the areas of Loans, Allowance for Credit Losses, Leases and Investments</p> </li><li> <p>Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Analysis, Bank Reconciliation, Financial Accounting, Financial Reporting, General Ledger Accounting, Financial Closes, Advanced Excel, Accounting Software</p> </li></ul> <p>Job Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares complex balance sheets, income statements and other financial reports</p> </li><li> <p>Maintains investment accounting system and related reporting</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for overall accuracy of certain general ledger accounts and operational processes</p> </li><li> <p>Prepares and/or reviews financial reports for management</p> </li><li> <p>Acts as the primary contact with secondary loan partners. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications and operational needs.
