As a Resident Engineer, you'll be at the heart of planning, design, construction, and commissioning efforts-making a tangible impact on the city's most vital systems.</p> <p>What You'll Do</p> <ul> <li>Lead with Expertise: Serve as the technical lead on water and wastewater treatment projects of all sizes-from small upgrades to large-scale infrastructure. </li><li>Own the Project: Manage small to medium-sized projects, overseeing scope, schedule, and budget with full project management responsibilities. </li><li>Be in the Field: Conduct site visits, oversee field work, and support pilot testing to ensure quality and compliance. </li><li>Mentor & Grow Talent: Provide hands-on training and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of learning and excellence. </li><li>Support Construction Services: Review contractor submittals, evaluate RFIs, and ensure conformance with contract documents during construction. </li><li>Drive Business Development: Assist in proposal preparation, including scope development and fee estimation. </li></ul> <p>What We're Looking For</p> <ul> <li>Licensed PE in New York State (required) or NJ PE </li><li>5-15 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering working with NYCDEP </li><li>Proven ability to lead field teams and manage project delivery </li><li>Excellent communication and mentoring skills </li><li>Willingness to travel locally for site work and field activities </li></ul> <p>Ready to make your mark on NYC's infrastructure?</p> <p>Apply now and help us build a more resilient, sustainable future-one project at a time.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job</p> <p>classification and length of employment.
