<p>JOIN OUR TEAM AND EXPERIENCE ENDLESS CAREER POSSIBILITIES</p> <p>IF YOU ARE AN EXISTING TEAM MEMBER, PLEASE CLICK THE FOLLOWING LINK TO BE TAKEN TO THE INTERNAL CAREER SITE: MOHEGAN INTERNAL CAREER SITE</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>This position is responsible for serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guests according to department policies, procedures and steps of service.</p> <p>Primary Duties and Responsibilities: includes but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for the handling of payment in cash outlets, per established check tendering procedures </li><li>Clears glassware, ashtrays and debris in assigned pit area </li><li>Consistently applies knowledge of all legal beverage service guidelines </li></ul> <p>Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Maintains a clean and sanitary work environment, according to department policies and procedures </li><li>Advises and assists guests in beverage selections </li></ul> <p>Minimum Education and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience with serving cocktails or as a waiter or waitress or comparable customer service related job </li></ul> <p>Competencies: Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:</p> <ul> <li>Good written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills </li><li>Excellent knowledge of spirits, beer, wine, glassware, garnishes and all beverage service techniques </li><li>Knowledge of drinks and recipes and ability to use endorsements at appropriate service opportunities </li><li>Skills in proper tray preparation and handling </li><li>Proficiency in ordering beverages utilizing the proper established call order </li><li>Ability to adapt to new industry technology </li><li>Excellent knowledge of the overall property and gaming floor </li><li>Excellent knowledge of state liquor laws including proper identification procedures, monitoring levels of intoxication, intervention strategies, refusal of service and shutoff procedures </li></ul> <p>Training Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Outlet-specific standard operating procedures </li><li>SMART alcohol awareness </li><li>Established Beverage Server training and shadowing program </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Work Environment:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to stand and walk large areas for an entire shift </li><li>Must be able to bend and lift full beverage trays of up to 25 lbs. </li><li>Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with frequent interruptions </li><li>Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours </li></ul> <p>This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, requirements or working conditions associated with this job.
