<p>The Deli Slicer Assistant is responsible for slicing and packing of the product for customer orders in the Deli department. The ideal candidate should have experience experience working with a deli slicing machine.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Processing (Slicing, packing + labeling) </li><li>QA raw and finished materials </li><li>Food Safe Practices specific to department. </li><li>Adhere to all employee safety policies </li><li>Slice food products and pack in bags, totes and boxes. </li><li>Scan labels on packages, and label packages with printed labels </li><li>Spot check packages emerging from machinery for correct labeling </li><li>Complete any and all work necessary to help team before, during and after production </li><li>Assist in shut down procedures </li><li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds. </li><li>In a work day: standing/walking 6-10 hours or more </li><li>Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling. </li><li>Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching. </li><li>Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals. </li><li>Constant exposure to temperatures: <-10 degrees Fahrenheit (freezing), 32-40 degrees Fahrenheit (refrigerators) </li><li>Ability to work in a wet and cold environment. </li><li>Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. </li><li>Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery. </li></ul> <p>Education and Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Apply knowledge of processes involved, production methods, and products to the nuances of everyday operation </li><li>Able to stand for long period of times </li><li>Ability to work in climate of 38 degrees </li><li>Ability to perform twisting, turning and bending </li><li>Comfortable and able to work an 8-12hr shift (hours per day are based on business need) </li><li>Teamwork minded </li><li>Must embody and demonstrate company values and culture </li></ul> <p>Note: The hourly range for this role is from $16.00 to $16.00 Specific pricing for the role may vary based on many factors including but not limited to candidate experience, and skills.</p> <p>Why choose FreshDirect?</p> <p>We're a company that thrives on teamwork.
