We strive to create an inclusive work environment that fosters respect and dignity for all.</p> <p>Guidance Counselor (Grades 7-12)</p> <p>Attleboro Community Academy</p> <p>Essential Functions</p> <ul> <li> <p>Assists students and families in developing students' high school educational plans.</p> </li><li> <p>Assists students and families with all facets of college and post-secondary planning.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops the building's schedule with team recommendations</p> </li><li> <p>Schedule each student based upon educational plans</p> </li><li> <p>Services the needs of transfer students.</p> </li><li> <p>Ensures transcripts are accurate.</p> </li><li> <p>Establishes and maintains positive and ongoing communication with administration, teachers, families, and the community through various means.</p> </li><li> <p>Meets with students, families, and team to plan for the students' success in the following areas: personal, academic, career/vocational, and college planning.</p> </li><li> <p>Formulates intervention plans for students.</p> </li><li> <p>Supports school-wide initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrates knowledge and use of pertinent technologies, social media and computer programs such as ASPEN, Naviance, and Google experience is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Participates in team meetings, including but not limited to 504 or Special Education team meetings.</p> </li><li> <p>Engages in community outreach including contacts with college admissions offices for outgoing students and middle/high schools for incoming students.</p> </li><li> <p>Classroom teaching responsibilities related to the school's guidance curriculum (MYCAP, etc).</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working in Alternative Education is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>7D license is preferred.</p> </li><li> <p>Performs other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by ACA Administration.</p> </li></ul> <p>Applications will be considered when submitted via our online application system with POWERSCHOOL UNIFIED TALENT.
