<p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Nursing Assistant functions in a complimentary or assistive role under the direct supervision of the Registered Professional Nurse and Licensed Practical Nurse. The Nursing Assistant provides direct patient care and carries out individual duties on select patients in accordance with policies and procedures of Berkshire Medical Center.</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Patient Care experience preferred. </li></ul> <p>Education and Training</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or equivalent with completion of a Nursing Assistant course and/or current status as a student in a Registered Nurse or LPN preparation program. </li></ul> <p>License, Certification & Registration</p> <ul> <li>CPR certification is required. </li><li>MA NA REGISTRY - MA Certified Nurse Aide preferred. </li></ul> <p>Other Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ability to follow guidelines, protocols and/or policies specific to each unit and the institution. </li><li>Familiarity with Meditech preferred. </li><li>Medical terminology required or willingness to pursue as necessary. </li><li>Ability to consistently interact in a professional manner with patients, families, physicians, other members of the healthcare team. </li><li>Adheres to BMC Service Excellence Standards in performance of work role. </li><li>Must possess and demonstrate excellent organizational skills necessary to complete complicated and multiple tasks accurately and concurrently. </li><li>Must have the ability to accept and facilitate changes within systems, work methods, policies, procedures, etc. </li><li>Must possess interpersonal skills necessary to maintain congenial and calm composure in stressful environment. </li><li>Ability to maintain confidentiality in accordance with hospital policy and various regulations. </li><li>Ability to promote patient safety with detail to accuracy. </li><li>Demonstrates dependability to maintain a work schedule. </li></ul> <p>Schedule</p> <ul> <li>3:00pm-11:30pm </li><li>Monday through Friday (Variable days) </li><li>Rotating Weekends, Rotating Holidays </li></ul>
