<p>Wakefield Memorial High School is seeking a Head Coach for the Boys Hockey Program for the upcoming 2026-2027 Winter Season.</p> <p>Requirements: All candidates should have the following:</p> <p>MIAA Certified Coach / NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching</p> <p>Head Coaching Experience (Hockey)</p> <p>Varsity Coaching Experience Extensive</p> <p>Hockey Background (playing or coaching)</p> <p>Excellent communication skills</p> <p>Passion and energy to promote Educational Athletics</p> <p>CPR / First Aid Certifications</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:</p> <p>Oversees the entire Boys Hockey Program of student athletes and coaching staff.</p> <p>Coaches individual participants in basic and advanced skills necessary for maximum individual achievement within the team setting.</p> <p>Develops and executes weekly practice plans and weekly gameplans.</p> <p>Develops and executes off season planning for all student athletes.</p> <p>Provides leadership necessary to build a program ready for sustained success.</p> <p>Teaches, monitors and enforces appropriate standards of discipline and sportsmanlike behavior.</p> <p>Monitors adherence by athletes to the rules and regulations of the MIAA.</p> <p>Keeps up to date with any necessary training for assigned sport.</p> <p>Attends regular coaches meetings organized by the Athletic Director to discuss the expectations and guidelines of the Athletic Program.</p> <p>Creates an environment where students are supported and encouraged to participate in the athletics program.</p> <p>Adheres to practice schedules, student practice rules and medical compliance as required by the league.</p>
