<p>Chief Financial Officer (CFO)</p> <p>Location: Syracuse, NY (In-office required)</p> <p>Salary: $175K to $200K+ Bonus opportunity for successfully implementing outsourced accounting to streamline day-to-day accounting operations, with additional incentives tied to EBITDA multiplier performance.</p> <p>Client's Company Overview:</p> <p>The company is a leading national OEM heavy equipment distributor, recognized for its customer-centric approach and long-standing success in the industry. As the company continues to expand and evolve, it seeks a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to oversee and lead all financial functions of the organization, with a particular focus on inventory-heavy operations, service-based revenue, and strategic financial planning. In addition, the company has a software component that is focused on heavy construction equipment rentals, sales, and service, with a mobile asset inspection app module that can be sold to contractors and trucking companies. Build the base that can be replicated over multiple stores</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>As CFO, you will serve as a key member of the leadership team, responsible for directing the companys financial strategy and operations.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide strategic financial leadership to support company growth and operational goals </li><li>Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and compliance </li><li>Manage internal accounting functions, including payroll, tax compliance, inventory management, and cost control </li><li>Analyze operational and financial data to guide executive decision-making </li><li>Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and management reports </li><li>Lead financial planning and analysis (FP&A) and implement best practices for financial health </li><li>Monitor the financial performance of parts and service departments to identify areas of improvement </li><li>Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations </li><li>Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and leadership teams to align financial and business strategies </li><li>Provide leadership and development for accounting and finance team members </li><li>Drive continuous improvement in financial systems, controls, and processes </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Graduate degree preferred </li><li>CPA designation strongly preferred </li><li>Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance leadership role (CFO, Controller, or equivalent) </li><li>Strong generalist background with a deep understanding of inventory and service revenue models </li><li>Demonstrated success in budgeting, forecasting, and financial strategy </li><li>Knowledge of tax regulations, GAAP, and internal controls </li><li>Proficient in accounting software and ERP/inventory systems </li><li>Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills </li></ul> <p>Benefits: Offer excellent benefits - 401 (K) Match, Health Insurance, Vision, Dental, Life, Disability, Vacation, Sick Time, Sick time and work-life balance.</p> <p>EOE</p>
