<p>Position Details</p> <p>Position Information</p> <p>Position Title Assistant/Associate Dean of Students LMU-DCOM Harrogate Department COLLEGE OF MEDICINE Position Category Staff Full Time Job Description</p> <p>The Assistant/Associate Dean of Students is directly responsible for the delivery of services to support student learning and well-being at the DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine (DCOM) Harrogate location for the DO program. The Dean of Students leads and manages a comprehensive suite of services that promote engagement and success for a diverse student population in a safe environment. The primary roles of the Dean of Students are to ensure academic success for all students, foster a sense of community among the faculty and students that promotes academic excellence and professionalism, and to identify and address both academic and non-academic issues that may negatively impact student performance and success.</p> <p>Required Qualifications</p> <p>Terminal degree in a relevant field; <em>experience in student services; and </em> previous academic and administrative experience</p> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Previous academic and administrative experience with professional medical programs</p> <p>Physical Demands Campus Harrogate</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>Promote the mission of Lincoln Memorial University (LMU) and DCOM to all faculty, staff, students and to the community at large</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>promote effective working relationships among faculty, staff and students</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>participate on university committees</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>evaluate existing goals and establish new goals for student services</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>maintain, analyze, and interpret data to identify opportunities and develop strategies to advance academic achievement and student success; demonstrate and model professionalism for faculty, staff, and students</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>provide feedback to and assist pre-clinical and clinical Deans with curricular development, course delivery, and student assessment</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>provide administrative support to the Student Progress Committee including student communication</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>develop individualized proactive and, when necessary, remedial learning plans for at risk students</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>supervise a team of learning specialists and other staff</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>collaborate with University leaders to implement strategic initiatives and ensure alignment of programmatic efforts to support students to graduation</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>develop, edit, and oversee the policies and procedures in the areas of student services, student activities, and student advancement</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>serve as the point of contact for student concerns and complaints</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>counsel students and provide guidance to students at large</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>work collaboratively with the Student Activities Coordinator to provide and develop a fun and supportive learning environment through campus clubs, activities and events</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>prepare requests for services, space and equipment required to execute the functions of the office</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>prepare periodic reports to the Campus Dean regarding student services</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>evaluate personnel performance and recommend personnel actions pertaining to the acquisition, promotion and/or retention or dismissal</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>recommend programs for the development and enrichment of unit personnel</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>conduct regularly scheduled meetings of personnel assigned to student services and maintain meeting summaries</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>prepare and manage a departmental budget</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>prepare materials and documentation required for addressing student accreditation standards for AOA COCA</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>complete required institutional, program accreditation, and other reports necessary for the advancement of University programs,</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>review and revise student handbook and policies and procedures as appropriate both on campus and at extended campus sites</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>serve as a member of the Dean s Council</p> <p>Job Duty</p> <p>perform other duties as assigned</p> <p>Posting Detail Information</p> <p>Posting Number S04820P Job Open Date 11/14/2025 Job Close Date 02/14/2026 Open Until Filled No Special Instructions Summary About the Institution</p> <p>Lincoln Memorial University is a values-based learning community dedicated to providing educational experiences in the liberal arts and professional studies.
