<p>Job Title: Entry-Level CAD Technician</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Our client is seeking an Entry-Level CAD Technician with a background in AutoCAD and/or survey to join their team. The successful candidate will work closely with a Licensed Surveyor and field crew members to draft and layout survey projects using AutoCAD Civil 3D. This role is integral to land surveying and engineering projects, ensuring precise and high-quality drawings and maps.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Interpret raw survey data collected by field surveyors, including measurements, angles, elevation points, and other relevant information. </li><li>Create detailed drawings, maps, plans, and layouts using AutoCAD Civil 3D, such as topographic maps, boundary surveys, subdivision layouts, and more. </li><li>Accurately depict property boundaries, easements, right-of-ways, and other legal aspects with the assistance of the Licensed Surveyor. </li><li>Ensure the accuracy and quality of the drawings. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Civil 3D with the ability to create 3D models and drawings. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience is preferred. </li><li>Experience in survey drafting, including boundary, topographic, and ALTA surveys. A minimum of 2 years of professional experience is preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of AutoCAD and residential site plans. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience drafting residential site plans. </li><li>Boundary resolution experience. </li><li>Candidates with a BS in Comprehensive Design will also be considered. </li><li>Survey Crew Chiefs with experience drafting and processing their own surveys (minimum 70/30 field to office experience). </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Our client's office has a laid-back and casual work environment where most employees wear jeans. The team consists of 7 total employees, including 2 Licensed Surveyors, 2 Survey Field Crew Members, 1 Professional Engineer / Project Manager, 1 Landscape Architect / Project Manager, and 1 Admin. The office hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM, but there is flexibility with start and end times, allowing employees to start as early as 7 AM or as late as 9 AM and leave as early as 3 PM or as late as 6 PM. Most team members work from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $34.50/hr.</p> <p>Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
