You will actively interact and engage with community members, provide solutions and offerings, and support them in discovering opportunities at the YMCA.</p> <p>Salary starts at $16.60 per hour and opportunities to grow within the organization. Looking for help in the evenings and weekends.</p> <p>Scope and Responsibility</p> <ul> <li>Greet community members and guests and make them feel welcome and engaged </li><li>Answer phones and email inquiries </li><li>Actively manage customer transactions </li><li>Support facility operations by partnering with local Community Hub leadership to ensure community spaces are clean at all times </li><li>Anticipate individuals' needs in order to accommodate them and provide an exceptional customer experience </li><li>Maintain inventory of supplies and order new stock, as needed </li><li>Ensure front desk operations run smoothly and efficiently </li><li>Conduct hub tours responsive to the needs of prospective customers; sell memberships </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>At least 18 years of age </li><li>Earned high school diploma or GED </li><li>Ability to work flexible hours, weekends, and/or holidays, as needed </li><li>Top-notch verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills </li><li>Bilingual, English/Spanish highly preferred </li><li>Willingness and ability to complete all mandatory YMCA training and certifications, along with ongoing or additional training as assigned by the supervisor, within established timeframe. </li></ul> <p>Child Abuse Prevention - Supports the YMCA's commitment to child abuse prevention by:</p> <ul> <li>Reporting any items that may provide a health or safety hazard to staff, members or guests to your supervisor </li><li>Following all policies and procedures related to keeping children safe in our facilities and programs, including those related to the monitoring and supervision of children </li><li>Reporting any suspicious behavior and violation of policy and procedures to your supervisor </li><li>Completing all child abuse prevention training as required </li></ul>
