<p>Position Type:</p> <p>Middle School Teaching</p> <p>Date Posted:</p> <p>6/5/2025</p> <p>Location:</p> <p>San Benito CISD</p> <p>Closing Date:</p> <p>Until Position is Filled</p> <p>  Additional Information: Show/Hide</p> <p>Job Title: Response to Intervention (RTI) Teacher Exemption Status: Exempt</p> <p>Reports to: Principal Pay Grade: Teacher Pay Scale</p> <p>Works with: Administrators/Teachers Days: 197</p> <p>Dept. /School: Campus Assigned</p> <p>Primary Purpose:</p> <p>Assist in the promotion and improvement of the RTI model by fostering a positive school/organizational climate where all children can learn and become successful.</p> <p>Prerequisites:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Valid Teaching Certificate; and </li></ul> <p>Special Knowledge/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Working knowledge of curriculum and instruction </li><li>Ability to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectiveness </li><li>Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior in person </li><li>Strong communication and interpersonal skills </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>Three (3) years of classroom teaching experience. </li></ul> <p>Major Responsibilities and Duties:</p> <ul> <li>Dedicate approximately 30-50% of the instructional day to work with small groups of students who require intervention. </li><li>Assist teachers orchestrate the daily instruction, analyze school level data and use data from student performance to define goals for individual students. </li><li>Meet with teachers to assist in the planning for differentiated instruction that meet the individual needs of students in need of interventions. </li><li>Group students with similar instructional needs. </li><li>Assist in the compilation and analysis of data, utilize information to modify instruction, and communicate progress to stakeholders. </li><li>Communicate verbally and in writing in a professional manner. </li><li>Actively pursue professional growth through professional development and other sources. </li><li>Work cooperatively with staff and provide feedback to program coordinator, supervisors, building Administrators, and school staff. </li><li>Communicate regularly with parents and students </li><li>Build a positive relationship with both parents and students. </li><li>Other duties as assigned by supervisor </li></ul> <p>Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:</p> <p>Tools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including personal computer and peripherals</p> <p>Posture: Prolonged sitting; occasional bending/stooping, pushing/pulling, and twisting</p> <p>Motion: Repetitive hand motions including frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching</p> <p>Lifting: Occasional light lifting and carrying (less than 15 pounds)</p> <p>Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours</p> <p>Mental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stress</p>
