<p>Junior Program Manager - Naval Engineering</p> <p>Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for project development and tracking. </li><li>Knowledge and understanding of Navy engineering projects </li><li>Interfacing engineers associated with business growth plan. </li><li>Oversee and direct program and project initiatives </li><li>Develop proposal responses, project estimates and prepare status reports </li><li>Work with GBS Senior Management and Division Managers on strategic initiatives and identification of growth opportunities </li><li>Responsible for technical and financial oversight </li><li>Interface with customers and manage customer expectations </li><li>Manage personnel understanding employees job responsibilities </li><li>Perform technical review of engineering design and software changes recommended by other engineers </li><li>Provide management with feedback concerning engineering and design changes proposed </li><li>Knowledge of NSWC Philadelphia a plus </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Candidates for this position must possess the following professional experience and qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, communications systems management, or an equivalent science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) degree from an accredited college or university, or a Project Management Professional Certification (PMP) is acceptable </li><li>3 to 5 years technical experience as a system, electrical, computer, or mechanical engineer or equivalent science, technology, engineering & mathematics (STEM) </li><li>1 to 3 years experience in management capacity to include project management and management of personnel. </li><li>Relevant management experience to include financial management, financial tracking, fiscal oversite, and decision making, and day to day management of personnel. </li><li>Experience in Jira and Confluence a plus </li><li>Six Sigma or Scrum certifications a plus </li></ul> <p>Physical and Mental Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer </li><li>Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines </li></ul> <p>Pay & Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Salary: $100,000-$115,000 based on experience </li><li>Discretionary bonuses </li><li>401(k) with match </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>11 holidays </li><li>Benefits include: </li></ul> <p>o Medical</p> <p>o Dental</p> <p>o Vision</p> <p>o Voluntary Life insurance</p> <p>o Voluntary Accident/ Critical Illness Insurance</p> <p>o Company Paid:</p> <ul> <li></li><li>Basic life Insurance </li><li>Short Term Disability </li><li>Long Term Disability </li></ul> <p>EEO Statement</p> <p>The GBS Group is an equal-opportunity employer.
