<p>The Assistant Registrar and Director of Transfer Operations acts as the main point of contact for all transfer-related operations for the University of Indianapolis, providing guidance and consultation on transfer operations for administrative and academic units, managing articulations, evaluations and the maintenance of the articulation tables in Ellucian Banner. Responsibilities also include evaluating, articulating, and communicating equivalencies with academic units, current and prospective UIndy students, and external constituents. This role is responsible for the regular review and audit of current and new credit-by-exam opportunities through communication and coordination with academic units, and also manages the Transfer Equivalency System (TES) and its transfer equivalent workflow tool, including system training, onboarding new users, and supporting new technical upgrades in collaboration with Information Technology. This role will also serve as the Campus Coordinator for the Core Transfer Library (CTL) annual currency review, coordinating course submissions, reviews, equivalency decisions, and Ellucian Banner updates based on the annual reviews.</p> <p>REQUIREMENTS/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Three-five years of direct experience working in secondary or post-secondary education, preferably within academic records and registration and/or transfer systems. This position requires a knowledge or aptitude for understanding transfer policies and best practices for transfer student populations and the ability to effectively collaborate with appropriate constituents to implement and update those practices. Experience with student data management systems (preferably Ellucian Banner) and transfer systems (preferably Transfer Equivalency System) are desirable. Approximately 70% of the position will be data entry, with 30% developing and managing audit processes, training, and other responsibilities. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's required </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Understand, implement, and uphold the transfer policies of the University of Indianapolis, providing guidance and consultation to administrative and academic areas across campus. </li><li>Develop and manage the transfer operations for the Office of the Registrar and provide guidance and training to staff who are responsible for transfer articulation in their administrative areas. </li><li>Receive, evaluate, and articulate transfer articulations for all credit-by-exam transcripts, including International Baccalaureate, Advanced Placement, CLEP/DANTES, A-Level exams, and other credit evaluation programs. </li><li>Receive, evaluate, and articulate transfer equivalencies for new, out-of-state prospective students and currently enrolled students. </li><li>Receive, evaluate, and articulate transfer equivalencies for military and international transcripts for new prospective students. </li><li>Receive and process transfer articulation requests for graduate and doctoral students for select units. </li><li>Develop and implement audit procedures to ensure accurate transfer credit articulations and student data (i.e. duplicate transfer credit, repeat transfer courses, etc.) through system-delivered reporting (Banner, TES) and Cognos reporting. </li><li>Establish and conduct regular review of the credit-by-exam program and course articulations with academic units, including review of current credit-by-exam opportunities based on ACE recommendations. </li><li>Serve as the UIndy Campus Coordinator for the Core Transfer Library (CTL) annual currency review, including attending quarterly CTL subcommittee meetings. </li><li>Update and manage the Transfer Equivalency System (TES), including training new users, managing users and their access requirements, inputting final equivalency decisions into Ellucian Banner, being apprised of and working on system updates with Information Technology, and inputting final equivalency decisions into Ellucian Banner. </li><li>Process biannual institutional credit articulations for math and modern language back credit. </li><li>Maintain and update new transfer institution data in Ellucian Banner in collaboration with the Office of Admissions and the Christel DeHaan Center for Global Engagement </li><li>Demonstrate respectful, ethical, responsible behavior. </li><li>Abide by the University's policies, procedures, and rules. </li><li>Perform employee responsibilities as detailed in employee handbooks and policies. </li><li>Demonstrate regular and predictable attendance and punctuality. </li><li>Other duties, including special projects, as required, or assigned. </li></ul>
