This role is vital in ensuring on-time delivery to customers while optimizing inventory levels and production capacity. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment, preferably in wood products or custom furniture, and will be skilled at balancing supply with dynamic demand in a make-to-order and make-to-stock setting.</p> <p>IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to excel at the essential functions assigned. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and ability required. The role may be located in Winchester, VA or at one of our key manufacturing locations.</p> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>Experience with the J.D. Edwards ERP system desirable and Oracle ERP Fusion or any other ERP system. </li><li>Strong background in supply chain planning within a manufacturing environment. </li><li>3+ years of experience in supply planning or production planning in a manufacturing environment, ideally in wood products, cabinetry, or furniture. </li></ul> <p>Skills</p> <ul> <li>Thorough understanding of MRP principles and lean manufacturing concepts is required. </li><li>Must be skilled at balancing supply with dynamic demand in a Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order setting environment. </li><li>This role is vital in ensuring on-time delivery to customers while optimizing inventory levels and production capacity. The ideal candidate will have a passion for continuously improving our service to customers while optimizing costs. </li><li>Proficiency with MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.), Power Bi will be a plus. </li><li>Must have excellent communication and influencing abilities. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Operations, Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field. APICS certification a plus. </li></ul> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Utilize ERP and MRP systems (JDE and ORACLE systems) to manage planning data and generate accurate production and supply plans to determine optimal safety stock, inventory levels, and order quantities utilizing supply base methodologies and best practices. </li><li>Develop and maintain detailed supply plans based on input from demand forecasts, sales orders, and production schedules specific to cabinet production. </li><li>Collaborate closely with procurement, Production, NPI, Engineering, Logistics, and Demand Planning teams to align material requirements, capacity constraints, and delivery timelines. </li><li>Be on alignment of the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process for supply inputs and ensure planning decisions align with business goals. </li><li>Identify supply risks related to raw material availability, production delays, or quality issues, and implement mitigation strategies. </li><li>Support the continuous improvement of supply planning processes and tools, integrating lean manufacturing and demand-driven planning principles. </li><li>Prepare and present supply performance metrics (e.g., OTIF, inventory turnover, capacity utilization) and make data-driven recommendations. </li><li>Accomplish special projects and other assignments/duties as required by management. </li><li>Consistently deliver the best in customer service.
