Has knowledge of electrical and electronic components, wiring practices as described by the National Electrical Code. Can trouble-shoot electrical problems on equipment while practicing electrical safety at all times.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Use engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and all other relative documents to assemble HVAC units/sub-assemblies. </li><li>Ability to use an assortment of hand/power/testing tools. </li><li>Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly. </li><li>Complete unit paperwork and QC checklist. </li><li>Reporting of defective equipment to Supervisor. </li><li>Install and wire a variety of electrical components. </li><li>Determine proper wiring practice and installation. </li><li>May be required to assemble and wire electrical components, controls, and panels for electrical equipment for engineering, esp. prototypes </li><li>May be required to test components and circuitry with various gauges, meters, and testing equipment. </li><li>Practice electrical safety at all times. </li><li>Maintenance and safeguarding of personal protective equipment. </li><li>Maintain a clean and safe work area. </li><li>Stopping unsafe acts. </li><li>Additional responsibilities as assigned by supervisor. </li><li>Assist Electrical Engineer as required to complete wiring diagrams for production jobs scheduled. </li><li>Assist production techs with electrical problems on jobs, when required. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent </li><li>Capable of using common hand tools, gauges, multimeters and hand-operated power tools. </li><li>Capable of lifting 50 lbs without the use of lifting equipment. </li><li>Prefer electrical wiring and testing experience. </li></ul> <p>Safety/Physical requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with all KCC rules and regulations. </li><li>Participate in toolbox talks & monthly training. </li><li>Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of your coworkers. </li><li>Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management. </li><li>Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner. </li><li>Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner. </li><li>Ability to lift 50 lbs. </li><li>Requires bending, stooping and standing. </li><li>Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day.?
