<p>WAWASEE COMMUNITY SCHOOL CORPORATION</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION</p> <p>Job Posting: CTE Health Science II Instructor</p> <p>Wawasee High School is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable instructor to teach Health Science II in our Career and Technical Education (CTE) program. This course is designed to build on foundational healthcare knowledge and prepare students for real-world healthcare careers, with a focus on long-term care and clinical readiness.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Deliver engaging and standards-based instruction in Health Science II </li><li>Guide students in clinical skills in healthcare settings </li><li>Support students in career exploration and preparation for postsecondary education or certification </li><li>Maintain a safe, organized, and professional classroom and lab environment </li><li>Collaborate with other health science and CTE staff to ensure high-quality student experiences </li><li>Participate in curriculum development and advisory committee activities as needed </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Valid Indiana teaching license or ability to obtain a Workplace Specialist License in Health Careers </li><li>Current Indiana LPN or RN license </li><li>Minimum of 2 years of experience in the healthcare field </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience in long-term care </li><li>Prior teaching or training experience in healthcare (secondary or postsecondary) </li><li>Strong classroom management and instructional skills </li><li>Familiarity with current industry certifications, such as CNA </li><li>Ability to build positive relationships with students and support diverse learners </li></ul> <p>Position Details:</p> <ul> <li>Part-time, with potential for full-time depending on program needs and candidate background </li></ul> <p>May include classroom, lab, and potential clinical supervision components</p> <p>Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance</p> <p>LTD</p> <p>Life</p> <p>Virtual Urgent Care</p> <p>Employee Assistance Program</p> <p>Section 125</p> <p>PERF/INPRS</p> <p>Fit Stop24 Gym Membership</p> <p>All Athletic Pass</p>
