We even offer pet insurance for your four-legged family members. </li><li>Early access to earned wages with Daily Pay, tuition reimbursement to help further your career and adoption assistance to help you grow your family. </li></ul> <p>With a collective goal to champion a culture of belonging where everyone feels valued and respected, we honor the ways people are unique and embrace what brings us together.</p> <p>And, we believe equipping you with support and development opportunities is a vital part of delivering an exceptional employment experience.</p> <p>Find a fulfilling career and make a difference with UnityPoint Health.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Assigned to a pod of hospitals to place patients for that shift </li><li>Coordinates patient placement assignments and re-assignments throughout all hospital units; verifying bed requests to admission orders for placement using various data sources. </li><li>Communicates with intake/lead nurses, hospitalists, unit leaders and charge nurses, and nursing supervisors to place patients, resolve bed shortage conflicts and convey the status of available beds. </li><li>Assist in placement of planned admissions in partnership with unit leaders. </li><li>Establishes effective working relationships with cross-functional team(s). </li><li>Responds timely, effectively and appropriately to deliverables </li><li>Identifies and responds appropriately to both internal and external customer needs utilizing available resources </li><li>Partners with the Clinical Capacity Expeditor to identify and resolve placement or discharge delays. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma required </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>2 years of Clinical Healthcare experience required </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications:</p> <ul> <li>BLS (can obtain with 90 days of hire) </li></ul> <p>Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent written and verbal communication </li><li>Highly organized </li><li>Proficient with technology including Microsoft products and EPIC </li><li>Able prioritize effectively when faced with multiple tasks simultaneously </li><li>Excellent customer service skills; able to navigate complex or challenging discussions </li></ul>
