Solves freight problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where some standardization exists. Analyzes work-related situations and make decisions in an effective and timely manner. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company.</p> <p>Position Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Work with Logistics Manager to negotiate lowest freight costs without reducing service level. </li><li>Generate period-end revenue report. </li><li>Identify backhaul pickups that do not meet the minimum requirement for revenue. </li><li>Identify loads to be moved by contract carriage and schedule such move. </li><li>Monitor accepted loads and verify that the loads were delivered on time. </li><li>Audit carriers' freight bills to insure they agree with carriers' confirmations. </li><li>Coordinate with Accounting to file vendor charge-backs to orders with volumes that have been confirmed but not shipped by managed vendor. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EEO Statement</p> <p>Performance Food Group and/or its subsidiaries (individually or collectively, the "Company") provides equal employment opportunity (EEO) to all applicants and employees, regardless of race, color, national origin, sex, marital status, pregnancy, sexual orientation, gender identity, religion, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, and any other characteristic protected by applicable local, state and federal laws and regulations.
