<p>Our Distribution Services Clerk Performs a variety of tasks required for the receiving, put away, stocking, picking, and delivery of supplies and medical equipment throughout the organization at any of our main of off-site campuses. Able to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions, comply with procedures and policies, and perform simple arithmetic calculations. Ability to adapt to a flexible work schedule that requires weekends, nights, holidays, and/or overtime.</p> <p>This is a Full-Time Position (37.5 hrs/week).</p> <p>Schedule: 8:00am - 4:00pm, alternating weekends.</p> <p>MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES/CRITICAL RESPONSIBILITIES (depending on assigned area):</p> <ul> <li>Receive, inspect count, and note any discrepancies on incoming freight. Record all quantities received on the purchase order, both on paper and in the system to ensure accurate deliveries. </li><li>Must be able to operate all dock and storeroom equipment safely and correctly. </li><li>Fill stock requisitions in an accurate and timely manner. </li><li>Deliver all Storeroom orders and/or non-stock orders to the requesting departments in a timely and accurate manner. Stock unit supply rooms in a neat and orderly fashion and according to procedure. Always refill inventory on the floors and in the storeroom using the FIFO (First In, First Out) method of inventory management. Always check for expired supplies on any given unit on a monthly basis or as needed as per request by your lead or supervisor. </li><li>Maintain the Storeroom in a neat and orderly manner at all times. Make sure there is no debris on the floor. Rotate dated product also based on the first-in, first-out inventory processing and isolate any expired or damaged inventory and bring to inventory control as per policy. Protect supplies and equipment from damage or loss. </li><li>Comply with all inventory controls relating to and ensuring the accuracy of physical product, paperwork, and inventory system. Perform key entry tasks as necessary in Oracle. Always ensure accurate system counts for your areas. </li><li>Able to use the computer to access the Oracle and Pyxis systems for all authorized inventory </li><li>transactions. </li><li>Off-site deliveries of supplies as required. </li><li>Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, management, clinicians, and other relevant hospital areas. </li><li>Performs other related distribution services tasks as assigned by supervisor. </li><li>Exhibit Stamford Hospital's stated culture and values while at work. </li><li>High School Diploma or GED required </li><li>Previous experience in shipping/receiving or inventory and/or distribution is a plus. </li></ul> <p>We are committed to building an inclusive workplace that values diversity and inclusion and reflects the diversity of the community and patients we serve.</p>
