<p>The Times Union is seeking an experienced offset journeyman pressman to join its Albany, NY, production operation full-time. If hired, you will work with a close-knit team responsible for maintaining and operating a state-of-the-art KBA Commander CL press that produces Times Union and numerous commercial print publications in a high-quality and cost-effective manner, seven days a week.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>5-10 years of web offset newspaper or commercial printing experience. </li><li>Able to produce high-quality print results on a consistent basis. </li><li>Detail-oriented with a focus on meeting deadlines and customer expectations. </li><li>Well-developed verbal communication skills. </li><li>Fluency with computerized press controls and operator interfaces. </li><li>Technical knowledge and mechanical aptitude for newspaper printing operations, including equipment maintenance, troubleshooting and repair. </li><li>High school diploma or equivalent. </li></ul> <p>Hours: Primarily evenings and weekend evenings, but hours can vary based on training and production needs.</p> <p>Pay: This is a union position with an hourly rate of $35.95 per hour.</p> <p>The Times Union offers great pay, substantial benefits and the ability to live in a beautiful area of the country.
