<p>Minimum Job Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance </li></ul> <p>instructions, drawings, graphs and procedures manuals.</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to write routine reports and correspondence. </li><li>Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all unit of measure, using whole numbers, </li></ul> <p>fractions, and decimals; compute rates, ratios and percentages.</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to create/interpret various data collection tools. </li><li>Must be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid </li></ul> <p>conclusions.</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to interpret a variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram </li></ul> <p>form.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Train and/or assist production employees and others in the following practices: </li></ul> <p>o Paint application.</p> <p>o Maintain (PM), and repair all associated paint line equipment such as pumps, guns, mixers,</p> <p>heaters, Precision Mix, Pro-Mix, hoses, lines, etc. This includes repairing or replacing worn or</p> <p>defective parts, reassembly, adjustments, and testing.</p> <p>o Understand and proficient with use of mix center to support special paint requirements.</p> <p>o Troubleshoot daily paint problems.</p> <p>o Maintain documentation in a daily logbook of repairs, activities, and Preventative Maintenance</p> <p>(PM's).</p> <ul> <li>Quality Control of paint area to include the following: </li></ul> <p>o Monitor and adjust cure oven settings.</p> <p>The above description reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle functions of</p> <p>the occupation and shall not be construed as a detail of all work requirements that may be inherent</p> <p>in the occupation. Grove</p> <p>U.S.L.L.C. reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any</p> <p>time.</p> <p>o Provide training to production paint employees.</p> <ul> <li>Communication (both oral and written) to all management levels and between many different </li></ul> <p>departments to include:</p> <p>o Training of new hires and/or poor performers on quality painting procedures on a daily basis.</p> <p>o Supervision - Communicate quality issues daily and provide input on employee performance as</p> <p>needed.</p> <ul> <li>Manage and maintain the spare part inventory system; assist in the managing and reporting of </li></ul> <p>paint inventory levels and usage.</p> <ul> <li>Be a direct interface/point of contact with outside suppliers pertaining to paint related </li></ul> <p>products, equipment and services. This would include lead times and stocking levels; Interface with</p> <p>internal maintenance staff.</p> <ul> <li>Detect and report defective materials, improper operation and unusual conditions to proper </li></ul> <p>supervision.</p> <ul> <li>Other duties as determined by supervision. </li></ul> <p>Working Environment:</p> <p>The physical demands described are representative of those that must be met by an employee to</p> <p>successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the</p> <p>duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use tools or controls. The employee is</p> <p>frequently required to stand, reach, climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Incumbent</p> <p>will work in a typical paint environment including the use of solvents, adhesives, hydraulic oil,</p> <p>petroleum products, etc. There is frequent lifting and/or moving of up to 50 pounds.</p> <p>Education & Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. </li><li>Ten (10) years of experience in a manufacturing environment required, with two (2) of the ten </li></ul> <p>years in paint application.</p> <p>Health & Safety Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain departmental housekeeping and 5S standards. </li><li>Perform job functions in a safe manner. </li><li>Wear all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company Policy for the job being </li></ul> <p>performed.</p> <ul> <li>Know and follow established job specific and facility wide safety and health procedures and </li></ul> <p>rules.</p> <ul> <li>Actively participate in safety and health training and demonstrate competency based on training </li></ul> <p>received.</p> <ul> <li>Bring safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management's attention or </li></ul> <p>correct those you can.</p> <p>The above description reflects the general details necessary to describe the principle functions of</p> <p>the occupation and shall not be construed as a detail of all work requirements that may be inherent</p> <p>in the occupation. Grove</p> <p>U.S.L.L.C. reserves the right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any</p> <p>time.</p> <ul> <li>Employees who are required to wear half or full-face respirators must take and pass a pulmonary </li></ul> <p>function test annually, as well as be fit tested annually and must complete a medical surveillance</p> <p>questionnaire each year.</p> <ul> <li>No facial hair is permitted that may interfere with the seal of the respirator. </li><li>Areas that utilize air supplied hoods; there are no medical requirements but must complete a </li></ul> <p>medical surveillance questionnaire each year.</p> <ul> <li>Responsible for collection of paint related waste associated with pain gun flush activities. </li></ul> <p>Painters will receive introductory and annual training related to the hazardous waste collection of</p> <p>gun flush solvent.
