Join us!</p> <p>THE ROLE</p> <p>The Ticket Seller is responsible for ticket sales to shows and events by performing the duties listed below.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates excellent customer service skills; responds promptly to customer needs and requests for service and/or assistance. </li><li>Focus on each patron's order and fulfill in an accurate and timely manner. </li><li>Accurately dispenses tickets as requested by patrons using ticketing software and processes purchases made in person and by phone, when necessary. </li><li>Assist patrons in resolving ticket-related issues during events. </li><li>Verify and distribute 'Will Call' tickets to patrons. </li><li>Completes daily ticket sales report. </li><li>Keeps accurate daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets sold; balances sales and submits to Box Office Manager or Supervisor for audit. </li><li>Provides guidance related to venue, show and ticket information. </li><li>Ability to work independently and handle most box office questions without assistance. </li><li>Efficiently and courteously answers questions concerning prices, seating, and events. </li><li>Files various records and reports and performs related office functions and clerical work as assigned. </li><li>Perform other related duties as assigned by Box Office Manager or Designee. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with energy and enthusiasm. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.</p> <ul> <li>Subject to credit and background screening. </li><li>Excellent organizational skills required </li><li>Good written, verbal, and interpersonal skills required </li><li>Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management </li><li>Professional presentation, appearance, and work ethic </li><li>Ability to operate a computer terminal and printer </li><li>Dependable team player </li><li>Enthusiastic self-starter </li><li>Ability to learn new skills </li></ul> <p>Education and/or Experience</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED required </li><li>Minimum of six (6) months relatable experience required </li><li>Computer and money/payment handling experience strongly preferred </li><li>Experience in computerized ticket systems and/or guest services experience preferred </li></ul> <p>Skills and Abilities</p> <ul> <li>Accurately process and handle credit card payments </li><li>Work independently and as a member of a team </li><li>Have excellent communication, listening, problem solving, and organizational skills </li><li>Able to understand, speak, read, and write English </li><li>Able to interact with guests, vendors, and staff in a friendly, courteous, and polite manner </li><li>Able to operate two-way radio equipment </li></ul> <p>WORKING CONDITIONS</p> <p>Location: On Site at DeVos Place, Van Andel Arena, Acrisure Amphitheater, Grand Rapids MI</p> <p>PHYSICAL DEMANDS</p> <p>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
