<p>Virtual Arkansas - Arkansas Military Service & Security CTE Adjunct Instructor Virtual Arkansas - Remote</p> <p>Position Type: Adjunct Instructor (This is not a full-time position) Date Posted: 7/28/2025 Closing Date: Until filled Location: Arkansas SUMMARY: Dawson Education Service Cooperative is seeking to hire an experienced candidate to serve as a Virtual Arkansas adjunct instructor for the Arkansas Military Service & Security high school CTE course for the 2025-2026 school year. The individual hired will be asked to provide instruction, guidance, and personalized student support in a digital, online environment. The adjunct instructor will monitor student learning, provide feedback, and utilize online learning and engagement strategies to support student attainment of content knowledge and to prepare students for possible certification exams. QUALIFICATIONS: o Bachelor's degree in history, education, or a related field o Arkansas 7-12 social studies licensure required for Civics, and Arkansas History dual credit o AMSSP and other relevant CTE technical permits o DCTE 656 ASMMP Permit: The AMSSP Permit is classified as a specialty permit and will have additional requirements: Proof of service connection or DD214 for prior serving veterans and Proof of awards and decorations</p> <p>or</p> <p>Proof of service connection from non-serving members o Additional requirements as outlined under Specialty Permit Areas. Instructor Approval Letter from an Arkansas National Guard component Director of Joint Staff or designee</p> <p>o Knowledge of the military, including the National Guard, its history, and its role in society o Military service preferred o Experience teaching at the high school level preferred o Effective Online Teaching endorsement preferred RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: o Providing instruction and monitoring student progress. o Collaborate with all stakeholders (e.g. students, parents, colleagues, etc.) to establish and maintain positive relationships while focusing on high expectations and continuous improvement for student learning. o Integrate IEP, 504, and/or ELL/LEP goals or modifications into lessons as applicable. o Planning and preparation of digital lessons. o Provide limited Zoom sessions per week to provide face-to-face interaction with the students to answer questions and provide support.</p> <p>o Integrate instructor-made videos each week to support student learning. o Participate in Virtual Arkansas' New Teacher Training courses before the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Candidates will receive professional development hours for this training. o Participate in evening professional development sessions as needed during the school year or as requested for point-in-time training and/or support from the Virtual Arkansas Adjunct Support Specialist or designee. o Effectively utilize the learning management system and student information system to communicate with and provide assignment and assessment feedback to students. o Provide intervention and support to students as needed and required. o Maintaining the virtual classroom environment. o Maintaining professional responsibilities. o Completing other duties consistent with online, digital teaching.
