<p>(Eligible for our Referral Bonus Program - Please be sure to indicate the NEW Cooperative employee on your application)</p> <p>Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Include but are not limited to the following:</p> <p>Transportation</p> <ul> <li>Deliver bulk propane orders safely, following regulations. </li><li>Operate the delivery vehicle in a safe manner and manage vehicle maintenance. </li><li>Deliver, connect, and maintain petroleum equipment. </li></ul> <p>Documentation & Procedures</p> <ul> <li>Complete all driving logs and other documentation in an accurate, neat, and timely manner. </li><li>Maintain electronic delivery records & tickets. </li><li>Comply with all DOT, OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration), CTEP and NEW Cooperative safety programs, polices, and procedures. </li></ul> <p>Customer Service</p> <ul> <li>Respond to after-hour calls from customers. Understand procedures for out-of-fuel calls. </li><li>Works extended hours as requested by supervisor to ensure good customer service in busy season. </li><li>Respond to customer inquiries and answer questions regarding products and services. </li><li>Communicate safe storage and handling procedures to all customers. </li><li>Understand and assist in enforcing the company's credit policy. </li><li>Conduct all necessary leak check and regulator checks as required </li></ul> <p>Sales & Marketing</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with energy salespeople to increase sales of petroleum and related products. </li><li>Assist in developing and promoting competitive marketing strategies/plans. </li><li>Maintain current knowledge of products & services offered </li></ul> <p>Maintenance</p> <ul> <li>Ensures that work area, equipment, and vehicles are all neat, clean, and well maintained. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness of equipment to promote a positive company image. </li><li>Performs or schedules repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles. </li><li>Develop and maintain routing, keep-fill, and degree-day systems. </li></ul> <p>Other</p> <ul> <li>Uses all tools, equipment, and vehicles carefully and for their intended use. </li><li>Assist in other areas of the location as needed. </li></ul> <p>Basic Employment Expectations:</p> <p>Safety</p> <ul> <li>Performs work in a safe manner at all times and uses the appropriate PPE. </li><li>Checks the work area for hazards and corrects/reports unsafe conditions. </li><li>Considers the safety of oneself, and other employees, and customers. </li><li>Follows all safety protocols and seeks advice from supervisor when uncertain. </li></ul> <p>Communication</p> <ul> <li>Maintains open communication and cooperates with supervisor, departments, and fellow employees. </li><li>Communicates with supervisor and others immediately when unexpected problems cause absence, lateness, or the need to leave early. </li></ul> <p>Accountability & Professionalism</p> <ul> <li>Abides by policies set forth in the employee policy manual. </li><li>Carries a fair share of the workload. </li><li>Promotes NEW Cooperative through positive, friendly, and professional interactions. </li><li>Is punctual, follows directives, and works in an efficient and timely manner; accepts personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of the work. </li><li>Understands that satisfactory attendance is essential to the efficient operation of the work environment. </li></ul> <p>Customer Service</p> <ul> <li>Continually works to satisfy customers to address questions/concerns through effective communication, solving problems, responding to questions, and managing their expectations. </li></ul> <p>Personal/Professional Development</p> <ul> <li>Establishes personal performance goals and works toward these goals. </li><li>Continually upgrades and demonstrates knowledge of the job. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications & Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be licensed and insurable to drive. </li><li>Must be CETP certified or have the ability to obtain one. </li><li>Must have at least a Class B CDL (Commercial Driver s License) with Tanker and HazMat endorsements. Class A CDL preferred. </li><li>Must have an understanding of the weather conditions and know that temperatures may be below or above normal, depending upon the time of year and adjustment is necessary to maintain high levels of customer service. </li><li>Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. </li><li>Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. </li><li>Understand the seasonality of the farm supply business and the in-season time commitment. </li><li>Must be able to interact and effectively communicate with customers and individuals at all levels of organization. </li><li>Possesses problem solving capability and understand the operational processes. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands:</p> <ul> <li>The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
