<p>Position Title:</p> <p>Bus Driver</p> <p>Salary:</p> <p>Based on local salary schedule</p> <p>$15.00 hourly</p> <p>Term:</p> <p>10 Month</p> <p>Benefits:</p> <p>This position provides partial benefits including partial earned Annual and Sick Leave</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>High School or Equivalent is preferred</p> <p>CDL with (P) Passenger and (S) School Bus endorsements is required</p> <p>Must have strong communication skills in dealing with students and parents</p> <p>Must possess leadership skills to maintain discipline on the bus</p> <p>Must be dependable and punctual</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Responsible for safely transporting students to and from school</p> <p>Responsible for safety pre-checks, reporting malfunctions, handling vehicle breakdowns and maintaining a clean and safe environment for students.</p> <p>Responsible for following school district procedures while driving assigned bus routes</p> <p>Responsible for following a route (set by Transportation Director) that ensures a routine providing students and parents with a consistent and daily pick up/drop off schedule.</p> <p>Responsible for students' behavior while on the bus and take suitable action to resolve incidents between/among students should incidents occur.</p> <p>Responsible for reporting in appropriate behavior to school authorities as soon as possible</p> <p>Responsible for knowing NC driving laws and regulations including safe bus operations</p> <p>Reports To:</p> <p>Superintendent, Transportation Director, Principal, or designee</p> <p>Principal: Dr. Kristina Lowe</p> <p>Email: klowe@madisonk12.net</p> <p>Deanna Ponder, Transportation Director</p> <p>Email: dponder@madisonk12.net</p>
