<p>Job Description:</p> <p>Campus Title: Adjunct, Accounting</p> <p>Budget Title: Adjunct</p> <p>Unit: 08-UUP, view our generous state benefits summary here!</p> <p>Salary Range: $4,500 per 3-credit course</p> <p>Delivery Method: Face-to-face, online both synchronous or asynchronous, and/or FLEX</p> <p>Duration: Fall 2025 and Spring 2026</p> <p>SUNY Morrisville seeks candidates for adjunct faculty to teach for the following:</p> <ul> <li>Adjunct, Accounting </li></ul> <p>The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member of the Business & Hospitality department, eager to support the development of the next generation of professionals.</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Teach Accounting 101 course face-to-face including content such as: Principles and procedures as applied to the accumulation, processing and reporting of financial information resulting from business transactions as well as preparation of journals, ledgers, financial statements. Inventories, receivables, payables, plant assets and payroll accounting. </li><li>Teach Accounting 102 course face to face including content such as: Accounting for corporate organization and operation including equity-related transactions, corporate income statement, and statement of cash flows. Financial statement analysis is also covered. Managerial accounting is also included and covers such topics as product costing, short-run decision making, budgeting, and C-V-P analysis. </li><li>Be aware of, know, understand, and follow all college policies. </li></ul> <p>SEMESTER START/END DATES</p> <ul> <li>Fall 2025 semester, Monday, August 25, 2025, to Friday, December 12, 2025, Grades due Tuesday, December 16, 2025 </li><li>Spring 2026 semester, Monday, January 26, 2026, to Friday, May 15, 2026, Grades due Tuesday, May 19, 2026 </li></ul> <p>Brief Description of Course(s):</p> <p>ACCT 101. Principles of Accounting I. (3 Credits)</p> <p>An introduction to accounting theory and principles as applied to a business enterprise is covered in Principles of Accounting I. Principles and procedures as applied to the accumulation, processing and reporting of financial information resulting from business transactions are discussed. Students are exposed to manual and electronic media for the preparation of journals, ledgers, financial statements. Inventories, receivables, payables, plant assets and payroll accounting are also covered. Prerequisite: MAGN 101 3 credits (3 lecture hours), fall or spring semester</p> <p>ACCT 102. Principles of Accounting II. (3 Credits)</p> <p>This course covers the methods of accounting for corporate organization and operation including equity-related transactions, corporate income statement, and statement of cash flows. Financial statement analysis is also covered. Managerial accounting is also included and covers such topics as product costing, short-run decision making, budgeting, and CVP analysis.
