<p>Akkodis is seeking a DBA for a Contract with a client in Newark, NJ (Hybrid). You will design and maintain scalable database systems while performing performance tuning and supporting application teams across Agile delivery cycles.</p> <p>Rate Range: $55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.</p> <p>DBA job responsibilities include:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Build, maintain, and support new and existing applications while preparing for large-scale architectural migration within an Agile environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Design, implement, and administer SQL Server database systems, ensuring stability, scalability, and high performance.</p> </li><li> <p>Perform advanced database performance tuning, including query optimization, indexing strategies, and partitioning.</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor and troubleshoot database performance issues, proactively identifying and resolving system bottlenecks.</p> </li><li> <p>Coordinate and execute database upgrades, migrations, and operational tasks to support evolving business needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Scrum Masters, and development teams to translate business requirements into reliable technical solutions.</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related technical field.</p> </li><li> <p>5+ years of hands-on experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven experience with performance tuning, optimization, and maintenance of SQL Server environments.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong ability to collaborate in an Agile setting and effectively communicate technical issues to cross-functional teams.</p> </li></ul> <p>If you are interested in this role, then please click APPLY NOW.
