Join over 40,000 Hartford HealthCare colleagues who make a difference every day.</p> <p>Your Impact:</p> <p>Charlotte Hungerford Hospital is seeking a 36 hour Audiologist who will work onsite within the hospital's ENT office.</p> <p>The Audiologist is responsible for the diagnosis and treatment of patient populations experiencing symptoms related to the ear and hearing such as hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders. The Audiologist determines candidacy and program implantable devices that enhance or augment hearing and listening. The Audiologist provides direct patient care via initial patient assessment, evaluation, diagnosis, development of treatment plan, and implementation of treatment plan in order to improve patient quality of daily living.</p> <p>Your Role:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Independently evaluate patients experiencing symptoms related to the ear and hearing by examining patient and assessing nature and extent of hearing disorder using testing devices.</p> </li><li> <p>Assess impact and severity of hearing loss in order to develop an appropriate treatment plan.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop comprehensive diagnosis in order the ENT physician to develop an appropriate treatment plan.</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose severity of hearing loss: mild, moderate, moderately severe, severe, and profound</p> </li><li> <p>Diagnose category of hearing loss: sensorineural hearing loss, conductive hearing loss, and mixed hearing loss</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor patient progress to update diagnosis per ENT physician order.</p> </li><li> <p>Evaluate and determine hearing aid candidacy. Dispense, activate and program hearing aids</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor treatment plan and adjust plan of care as needed.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide hearing test results and consultation to ENT physicians for the development of treatment plan</p> </li><li> <p>Master's Degree or Doctorate in Audiology from an ASHA or ACAE accredited Audiology program</p> </li><li> <p>State of Connecticut Audiologist License</p> </li><li> <p>Experience preferred</p> </li></ul>
