For more information, please visit our MDHHS Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Plan.</p> <p>This position functions as the Manager of the Quality and Evaluation Unit in the Quality Evaluation and Epidemiology Section, within the Division of HIV/STI Data and Operations Division. Responsibilities for this position include managing, leading and directing the Quality and Evaluation team in the: development and implementation of quality management plans and quality assurance processes; and program evaluation, and local public health department accreditation. This unit provides capacity and technical expertise to complete numerous federal reports, grant and non-grant related, monitoring reports for local agencies, data quality reports, and provides sound expertise in the use of program evaluation across the Division. The manager will focus on priority populations to impact health disparities, systems change, community planning, collaboration, and the development of new partnerships in the state of Michigan. See instructions for attaching files here: Instructions</p> <p>Education</p> <p>Possession of a master's degree in public health, health communication, health services administration, community development, urban planning, population and health sciences, international studies, political science, health policy or a public health related field such as nursing, epidemiology, health education, health economics, dietetics/nutrition management, genetics, or speech and audiology; a master's degree in public or business administration with a health care administration concentration; a master's degree in social work; master's degree in counseling, or master's degree in education or special education with specialization in blind/visual disabilities.</p> <p>Experience</p> <p>Five years of professional, post-master's experience as a consultant in a field of public health equivalent to a Public Health Consultant, including three years equivalent to a Public Health Consultant P11, two years equivalent to a Public Health Consultant 12, or one year equivalent to a Public Health Consultant 13.</p> <p>Position Location/Remote Office: The physical location of this position is Edgewood Office Suites in Lansing or at Cadillac Place in Detroit. Based on operational needs and within established limits, remote work and alternate or hybrid work schedule requests for this position may be considered. Selected candidates who have been approved to work remotely or a hybrid schedule must complete that work within Michigan. Candidates should confirm work location and schedule at the time of interview. </p> <p>Employees will be provided computers to perform state work. Phones may also be provided for necessary communications. If working remotely, employees will be responsible for providing other components of a remote office at their own expense, including:</p> <ul> <li>A secure work location that allows privacy and prevents distractions. </li><li>A high-speed internet connection of at least 25 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload. </li><li>Suitable lighting, furniture, and utilities. </li></ul> <p>Your application for any position does not guarantee you will be contacted by the Department/Agency for further consideration.
