Leveraging your expertise in cloud networking technologies, you will ensure the scalability, reliability, and security of our cloud network infrastructure while supporting the seamless integration of cloud services with our on-premises systems. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud platforms and technologies to drive innovation and enhance our organization's digital capabilities.</p> <p>The position will be based in Pleasanton, CA, or one of our main regional offices (Boise, ID, Plano, TX, or Phoenix, AZ).</p> <p>Main responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Cloud Network Architecture:</p> </li><li> <p>Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based network solutions on platforms such as Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).</p> </li><li> <p>Develop network architecture plans and strategies to support the organization's cloud initiatives and business objectives.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement best practices for network segmentation, routing, and traffic optimization in a cloud environment.</p> </li><li> <p>Network Security in the Cloud:</p> </li><li> <p>Implement robust security controls and measures to protect cloud-based network resources and data from unauthorized access, breaches, and cyber threats.</p> </li><li> <p>Configure and manage network security groups, access control lists (ACLs), and encryption protocols to enforce data privacy and compliance requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify vulnerabilities and implement remediation strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Cloud Networking Services:</p> </li><li> <p>Configure and manage cloud networking services, such as virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, load balancers, and content delivery networks (CDNs).</p> </li><li> <p>Optimize network performance and reliability by leveraging cloud-native services and features, such as auto-scaling, traffic routing, and global load balancing.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement hybrid cloud connectivity solutions, including VPNs, direct connections, and inter-region peering.</p> </li><li> <p>Automation and Orchestration:</p> </li><li> <p>Develop automation scripts and templates using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation to streamline network provisioning, configuration, and deployment processes.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) practices to enable scalable and repeatable deployments of cloud network resources.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate network automation into continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Performance Monitoring and Optimization:</p> </li><li> <p>Monitor cloud network performance metrics and analyze traffic patterns to identify areas for optimization and improvement.</p> </li><li> <p>Implement monitoring and alerting mechanisms to proactively detect and respond to network anomalies, performance degradation, and security incidents.</p> </li><li> <p>Conduct capacity planning and scaling activities to ensure the scalability and elasticity of cloud network resources.</p> </li></ul> <p>The salary range is $ 157,900 to $ 205,300 annually. Starting salary will vary based on criteria such as location, experience, and qualifications. There may be flexibility for exceptional candidates. Benefits may include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation Pay (accrued based on hours worked) or Flexible Time Off, paid holidays (8-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (such as 401(k) eligibility). Advanced degree or certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CCNP Cloud, Azure Solutions Architect) are a plus. </li><li>6+ years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on cloud networking and infrastructure. </li><li>In-depth knowledge of cloud networking concepts and technologies, including VPCs, subnets, routing tables, security groups, and load balancers. </li><li>Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, or GCP, including proficiency in cloud networking services and features. </li><li>Strong understanding of network security principles, protocols, and best practices in a cloud environment. </li><li>Experience with network automation and orchestration tools, infrastructure as code (IaC) practices, and scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell). </li><li>Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex cloud network issues. </li><li>Effective communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. </li></ul> <p>What is it like at Albertsons?</p> <p>Our 290,000 associates have a passion for great service and building lasting relationships with our customers.
