<p>PAID ODOT College Intern, Capital Programs (Environmental Department), PN 20052822</p> <p>Benefits to You:</p> <ul> <li>Receive pay based on your rank in school. </li><li>Enjoy flexible work hours based around your school schedule. </li><li>Receive real world on-the-job experience. </li><li>Receive an opportunity to work on an important mission. </li></ul> <p>Official Position Description:</p> <p>This is a temporary position involving various duties that will either supplement the student's major field of study &/or provide experience that is a useful addition to the student's education and meaningful preparation for future professional employment.</p> <p>In the Environmental Section of the Planning & Engineering Department, assists the Environmental staff with projects & documentation by utilizing the computer & related software (e.g., internet, web pages for ODOT, Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA); ELLIS, Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook) to research information (e.g., National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Environmental Justice Maps, Categorical Exclusions, upcoming projects, submerged land leases, lake lines, city limits ), to pull maps, generate reports, create lists (e.g., public involvement requirements, mussel stream) & data bases (e.g., permits, flood plain).</p> <p>Performs miscellaneous duties to facilitate the operational efficiency of the work unit (e.g., operates state vehicle to assist with field reviews, take photos, & identify sites of endangered species &/or wetlands; attends meetings & training; assists with necessary recordkeeping; organizes materials & compiles information to assist in report preparation).</p> <p>For a list of all the State of Ohio benefits, please visit the Total Rewards website!</p> <p>This Position is Unclassified per Section 124.11(A)(29)</p> <p>Must be currently enrolled in a college or university and in good academic standing.</p>
