<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>This position is responsible for running CNC (Computer Numerical Control) automated lathe machines which remove material from the OD (outer Diameter) and ID (Inner Diameter) to a certain size, finish, roundness, and straightness as specified in the part print/control plan.</p> <p>Duties/Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Check equipment initially upon beginning of shift to ensure the machine is running correctly </li><li>Verify machine, equipment, and gauges are set up correctly specific to work order/part number while ensuring process steps are followed </li><li>Perform proper set-up and calibration procedures for all equipment and accessories to be used on production parts when needed </li><li>Run parts ensuring they meet part print specification by using a variety of metrology equipment such as roundness checker, surface analyzer, air gauge, and indicating probe </li><li>Following process procedures maintaining high quality of production parts while driving to improve individual output numbers </li><li>Follow all company safety protocol </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Attention to detail while working with small components </li><li>Ability to perform moderate math work </li><li>Ability to work in team or individually as needed </li><li>Ability to meet production demands by operating a variety of finishing equipment </li><li>Ability to understand mechanical concepts and perform minor repairs utilizing hand tools </li><li>Problem solving ability when something is not working correctly </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or GED is preferred </li><li>Technical college certificate is a plus </li><li>Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is a plus </li><li>Experience using measuring equipment is a plus </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods of standing or sitting at a workstation </li><li>Constant moving throughout work area with twisting, bending, and reaching </li><li>Must be able to lift 40 lbs. </li></ul>
