<p>The Logistics Maintenance Team Leader will lead and supervise maintenance associates as well as provide technical troubleshooting skills to identify maintenance issues and develop solutions. They will also provide technical leadership and training to maintenance associates. This position requires a strong maintenance background with verifiable, hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience within an industrial environment. Leadership experience, robotics, pneumatics/hydraulics, and PLC troubleshooting knowledge are strongly desired. This position requires the person to be a self-starter with a motivation to lead and develop a maintenance team that is capable of improving the overall reliability and health of the plant.</p> <p>Responsibilities/Expectations:</p> <ul> <li>Leading and supervising maintenance associates within the department, acting as a resource for maintenance guidance to maintenance associates and other manufacturing personnel; </li><li>Providing technical maintenance support for assigned area; </li><li>Developing team members (skill assessment, training plan, coaching/counseling, performance evaluations) </li><li>Planning and executing work to meet department goals; </li><li>Coordinate repairs with customers to ensure minimal machine downtime; </li><li>Following-up on machine issues, and developing technical problem-solving solutions </li><li>Ensure safety compliance of all team members by having a strong presence on the floor daily (Utilize Dept. tools: LOTO audits, permit approvals, Pre Task Checklist, Pre-Lift Check sheet, etc.) </li><li>Providing on-call response to remedy critical maintenance situations; </li><li>Engaging in continuous improvement initiatives of manufacturing methods, working hand in hand with maintenance associates; </li><li>Adhering to DENSO safety, quality, continuous improvement and other company policies; </li><li>Assuming other special activities and responsibilities from time to time as required. </li><li>Coordinate and communicate daily with all Team Leaders to ensure clear communication among shifts. </li><li>Utilizing the team, look for innovative ways to reduce machine downtime through Kaizens, data analysis, and other defined metrics. </li><li>Utilizing the team, manage and own the PM system and scheduled repairs - coordinate with customers and other plant personnel sharing any information with other Team Leaders. </li><li>Work closely with Suppliers, Engineering, and Purchasing to be cost effective on all major projects. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Strengths:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Detail oriented</p> </li><li> <p>Good communication at a department level</p> </li><li> <p>Shares issues and knowledge quickly and efficiently through maintenance</p> </li><li> <p>Holds crew to high standards (accountability)</p> </li><li> <p>Addresses performance issues</p> </li><li> <p>Ownership (department level)</p> </li><li> <p>Embraces change</p> </li><li> <p>Human development</p> </li><li> <p>Understand team member's skillset</p> </li><li> <p>Develop training plans</p> </li><li> <p>Coaching/counseling sessions</p> </li><li> <p>Self-awareness</p> </li><li> <p>Compassion with team and customers</p> </li><li> <p>Articulate (verbal and written)</p> </li><li> <p>Strong documentation</p> </li><li> <p>Competent with Microsoft Office Applications</p> </li><li> <p>Problem solving (PM Analysis, PDCA, 5 Why, etc.)</p> </li><li> <p>Gemba focused</p> </li><li> <p>Technical ability</p> </li><li> <p>Strong safety mindedness</p> </li><li> <p>Understands Denso Policies</p> </li></ul> <p>Position Overview</p> <ul> <li>Demonstrates strong leadership abilities through motivating others to reach goals and continuously improve </li><li>Prioritize and assign tasks, establish procedures, provide instruction </li><li>Evaluate and review tasks with team members upon completion </li><li>Perform daily assessments of work area to ensure safety, quality, and productivity goals are achieved </li><li>Evaluate various quality and safety matters resulting from daily production activity. Advise and assist on development countermeasures </li><li>Prepare reports as necessary and promote ideas for improvement </li><li>Maintain good 5S of the workplace and ensure appropriate safety conditions are met </li><li>Train and mentor other associates on DENSO's processes and policies </li><li>Work as a cross-functional member on projects </li><li>Performs Human Resources activities including scheduling, tracking attendance, and counseling </li></ul> <p>Required qualifications</p> <p>Please note: Candidates must upload a copy of their resume along with their application in order to be considered for the role</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma / GED </li><li>Minimum of 2 years leading teams in a manufacturing/logistics environment </li><li>Knowledge of manufacturing/logistics practices </li><li>Excellent written and oral communication skills and presentation skills </li><li>Knowledge of office software applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) </li><li>Ability to coordinate and monitor a high level of activity under a variety of conditions </li><li>Ability to comprehend complex instructions and respond effectively </li><li>Perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly </li><li>Ability to coordinate eyes, hands, and fingers and accurately handle precise movements. </li><li>Ability to work in a variety of adverse environmental conditions, such as heat, cold, noise, etc. </li><li>Excellent organizational and time management skills. </li><li>Audit & Budgeting knowledge </li></ul>
