Our mission is to ensure everyone has access to quality healthcare.</p> <p>Position Overview:</p> <p>We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our Portable Optical Program, providing comprehensive eye exams to students across various school districts, directly onsite in schools. This is an exciting opportunity to enjoy work-life balance while making a meaningful impact on children's vision and overall health. You will practice at the top of your license in a team-based, integrated care setting.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Perform comprehensive eye exams and provide accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. </li><li>Deliver clear and compassionate communication of results and recommendations to patients, parents, and educators. </li><li>Train staff in clinical procedures, HIPAA compliance, coding/billing, and patient flow. </li><li>Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with state and federal guidelines. </li><li>Foster positive relationships with patients, families, and school partners. </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety, regulatory, and quality standards. </li><li>Coach and develop staff to optimize clinic operations in a mobile/portable setting. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree. </li><li>ABO Certification or State Licensure. </li><li>Strong knowledge of optical theories and practices. </li><li>Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. </li><li>Proficiency with Microsoft Office, practice management, and EHR systems. </li><li>Leadership and problem-solving abilities. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Background in pediatrics or vision therapy. </li><li>Experience with optical dispensing. </li><li>Previous work in a Federally Qualified Health Center. </li><li>Experience providing care in school or portable/mobile clinic settings. </li><li>Customer service background. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Comprehensive insurance (Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life). </li><li>403(b) Retirement Plan. </li><li>PTO & 10 Paid Holidays. </li><li>Eligibility for NHSC loan repayment programs </li></ul> <p>Why Join Us?</p> <p>At The HealthCare Connection, you will be part of a compassionate, mission-driven non-profit organization where you can truly make a difference in children's lives.
