If you share this passion and commitment, let's talk about how you can join us in our mission and build your future with us!</p> <p>Position Summary</p> <p>The Alarm Lead Technician at Marmic Fire & Safety plays a critical role in overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire and life safety systems. This position serves as the job site lead, ensuring all work is performed to the highest quality and safety standards while maintaining strong customer relationships.</p> <p>The Lead Technician will travel to customer sites in a company vehicle to perform and oversee system installations, programming, testing, and servicing of fire alarm systems. This role also includes conducting routine inspections to ensure compliance with NFPA standards, troubleshooting system issues, and completing necessary repairs.</p> <p>Additional responsibilities include accurately documenting service calls, inspections, and system deficiencies, as well as clearly communicating findings and recommendations to both customers and internal team members. The Lead Technician is also responsible for maintaining tools, equipment, and the company vehicle in proper working condition, while ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company and industry standards.</p> <p>Core Responsibilities</p> <p>Technical Oversight:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems, and other fire safety equipment, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies. </li></ul> <p>Project Management:</p> <ul> <li>Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute installation and maintenance projects. </li><li>Travel to customer sites as needed to perform quality checks on field technicians' work and address customer complaints. </li><li>Review weekly job schedules and ensure all field technicians are equipped with the necessary tools and supplies. </li></ul> <p>Customer Interaction:</p> <ul> <li>Act as the primary technical contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing technical support, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. </li><li>Respond to on-call tasks and handle vehicle-related emergencies, including facilitating repairs and purchasing job-related equipment. </li></ul> <p>Quality Control and Compliance:</p> <ul> <li>Implement and enforce quality control procedures for both fire safety systems and ensuring all work meets safety and regulatory requirements. </li><li>Stay updated on industry trends, codes, and regulations, ensuring compliance across all technical needs. </li></ul> <p>Documentation and Reporting:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain accurate records of service activities, including installation reports, and maintenance logs. </li><li>Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress, system performance, and any issues or recommendations for improvement. </li></ul> <p>Process Improvement:</p> <ul> <li>Identify opportunities for improving technical processes and service delivery. </li><li>Collaborate with other departments to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. </li></ul> <p>The above information has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees in this role. It is not designed to contain or be interpreted as a comprehensive inventory of all duties, responsibilities and qualifications.</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>NICET I minimum </li><li>Experience in fire and safety systems installation, maintenance, and repair, with a proven track record of leading jobsite. </li><li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team. </li><li>Knowledge of NFPA codes and local regulations </li><li>Strong knowledge of fire safety regulations, system components, and troubleshooting techniques. </li><li>Strong work ethic and attention to detail. </li><li>Proficiency with relevant technical tools and equipment. </li><li>Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to handle job-related equipment and repairs. </li><li>Must be drug-free and undergo pre-employment drug testing. </li><li>Physically fit, with the ability to climb ladders, kneel on the floor, and perform physically demanding tasks. </li><li>Flexible schedule to accommodate nighttime and daytime work as needed. </li><li>Valid driver's license with a clean driving record </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. </li><li>Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams. </li><li>Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NICET II + certification, Fire Alarm Systems Technician) are highly desirable. </li><li>Prior experience working in a customer-facing role and managing multiple projects simultaneously. </li><li>Preferred/Training provided: </li></ul> <p>Assist with inspection, testing, and maintenance of clean agent fire suppression systems</p> <p>Perform visual inspections of cylinders, piping, nozzles, and control panels</p> <p>Check system pressures, gauges, and overall condition</p> <p>Identify and report deficiencies or compliance issues</p> <p>Accurately complete inspection reports and documentation</p> <p>Benefits & Perks</p> <p>At Marmic Fire and Safety, we offer more than just competitive pay.
