<p>Title: Assistant Pastor of Discipleship, Shepherding & Evangelism (Full-Time)</p> <p>Purpose of the role: To strengthen EP Church's discipleship and shepherding ministries, and to help cultivate an evangelistic culture across the church, while assisting the Senior Pastor and Session in the overall pastoral work of the church.</p> <p>Primary lanes (year-one priorities)</p> <ol> <li>Discipleship </li></ol> <ul> <li>Life on Life: Provide leadership and oversight for Life-on-Life discipleship (training, coaching leaders, maintaining quality and health) </li><li>Sunday School: Recruit, train, and schedule Sunday School teachers for quarterly Sunday School classes. </li><li>Men's Ministry: o Oversee Thursday morning and evening men's Bible studies o Promote and recruit to presbytery Men's retreat </li><li>Small Groups: Recruit and train small group leaders for small group ministry. </li></ul> <ol start="2"> <li>Evangelism & Outreach </li></ol> <ul> <li>Oversee the monthly men's evangelistic gathering (planning, hospitality, recruiting, speaker coordination, follow-up/next steps) </li><li>Equip members and leaders for everyday evangelism through training, tools, and coaching </li><li>Help ministries develop "invite" rhythms and clear next steps for newcomers and seekers </li></ul> <ol start="3"> <li>Shepherding & Pastoral Care </li></ol> <ul> <li>Initiate and coordinate visitation, hospital calls, and member care </li><li>Provide pastoral counseling within appropriate boundaries </li><li>Oversee the elder shepherding system and coordinate with care/compassion teams as assigned </li></ul> <ol start="4"> <li>Worship & Word </li></ol> <ul> <li>Participate in worship leadership </li><li>Preach occasionally as needed and as gifted </li><li>Assist with sacraments as appropriate </li></ul> <p>Salary: $60K-$89K</p> <p>Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Ordained (or ordainable) in the PCA; aligned with Westminster Standards and PCA polity </li><li>Demonstrated strength in relational discipleship and leader development </li><li>Heart for evangelism and ability to equip others with confidence and clarity </li><li>Pastoral warmth, humility, teachability, and teamwork </li><li>Experience required </li></ul> <p>How to Apply</p> <p>Please send letter of introduction, resume (with family photo), and MDF to Chad Barber at chad@epcnewark.org</p> <p>Primary Contact: Chad Barber</p> <p>Email: chad@epcnewark.org</p> <p>Phone: 3125202402</p> <p>Apply Online: View</p>
