The head coach will work closely with the coaching staff to develop and implement effective strategies for player development, team cohesion, and competitive success. This position requires a passion for the sport, strong leadership skills, and the ability to positively influence student-athletes both on and off the court.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and implement practice plans and match strategies</p> </li><li> <p>Provide leadership and guidance to student-athletes</p> </li><li> <p>Work collaboratively with assistant coaches and athletic department staff</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with district policies and regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Ensure compliance with all NJSIAA bylaws and regulations, as well as the BTSD School policies and regulations</p> </li><li> <p>Foster a positive and inclusive team culture and promote good sportsmanship</p> </li><li> <p>Communicate effectively with school administration, parents, and community stakeholders</p> </li><li> <p>Work with individual players and position groups to develop fundamental skills, techniques, and game strategies.</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with coaching staff to create practice plans, drills, and conditioning programs that enhance player performance and minimize injury risk.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide guidance and mentorship to student-athletes, promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, and character development.</p> </li><li> <p>Attend all team practices, games, meetings, and events as required by the head coach and athletic department.</p> </li><li> <p>Assist in scouting opponents, analyzing game film, and preparing game plans to maximize team success.</p> </li><li> <p>Uphold and enforce all district and team policies, rules, and regulations.</p> </li><li> <p>Foster positive relationships with players, parents, school staff, and community members to promote a supportive and inclusive team culture.</p> </li><li> <p>Maintain accurate records of player attendance, performance evaluations, and other relevant data as requested by the athletic director</p> </li><li> <p>Mentorship and guidance: Acting as a role model and mentor for athletes, providing guidance and support for their personal and academic development, and helping them navigate challenges they may face</p> </li><li> <p>Job Requirements:</p> </li><li> <p>Valid New Jersey certification Teacher Certification or Substitute Teacher</p> </li><li> <p>Must meet New Jersey residency requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.</p> </li><li> <p>Highly organized and motivated. Self-starter.
